Bryan Scheer, M.D.
A graduate of Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, Dr. Scheer returned to his native Nevada to earn a degree in medicine. This was followed by orthopedic training at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Scheer, a lifelong Sooner football fan, was able to work with and learn from the primary sports medicine physicians at Oklahoma University. He has also participated in and published research on several topics. Prior to relocating his practice to Laramie, Dr. Scheer and his family made their home in western Nebraska. Dr. Scheer maintains a strong interest in rural/outreach medicine. His sub-specialty interests include advanced shoulder reconstruction, primary/revision joint replacement, and sports medicine/arthroscopy. Over the last several years, Dr. Scheer has shared his time as Instructor of Orthopedics with the University of Colorado, and in 2007 passed the sub-specialty exam for board certification in Sports Medicine. Dr. Scheer and his family are proud to be a part of the Gem City Bone & Joint team and enjoy time together, the outdoors, travel, and college football games. Dr. Scheer plans to do his inpatient surgical procedures at Ivinson Memorial Hospital and maintain a clinic and outpatient surgical practice in Laramie, Wyoming. Initially, Dr. Scheer is scheduled for regular outreach to Scottsbluff, Nebraska; Kimball, Nebraska; Alliance, Nebraska; Ogallala, Nebraska; and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
